MOSCOW -- Russia registered 5,918 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the nationwide tally to 21,574,764, said the official monitoring and response center on Sunday.

ROME -- At least one person died and several others went missing on the island of Ischia in southern Italy on Saturday, after heavy rains triggered a landslide that hit several residential buildings, according to authorities and local media.

CAIRO -- An Egyptian Air Force fighter jet fell to the ground during training while its crew survived the accident, the Egyptian army announced in a statement on Sunday.
