BERLIN, Germany: German weekly Automobilwoche has reported that Tesla seeks to double
its vehicle sales in Germany in 2022, to reach 80,000 vehicles.

Tesla's sales in Germany, from January to August 2022, reached 24,734 vehicles. In August, Tesla sales increased by almost 40 percent and its market share rose to 2.7 percent.

The Model Y was the overall top-selling Tesla vehicle in Germany.

Tesla's 2021 sales in Germany were 39,714 vehicles. It also built its first European gigafactory in Gruenheide near Berlin.
