CAIRO -- The first batch of COVID-19 vaccines provided by China for Egypt and the General Secretariat of Arab League arrived here early Tuesday.
Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang and Egyptian Assistant Health Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs Wael El Saaey held a handover ceremony at the Cairo International Airport upon the arrival of the vaccines developed by Sinopharm. (Egypt-China-Vaccine)

YANGON -- Myanmar's National League for Democracy (NLD) announced on Tuesday that it will continue pushing police to take actions over a recent raid on the party's Yangon-based headquarters since an investigation has yet to be carried out.
"Around 14 or 15 personnel in military, police uniforms and civilian clothing broke into the head office, did a search and seized documents at 10 p.m. on Feb. 9, according to the CCTV records," Soe Lay, NLD representative, told a press conference on Tuesday. (Myanmar-NLD press conference)

ADDIS ABABA -- The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN Refugee Agency, on Tuesday said "several thousand" Ethiopians have sought safety in Sudan's Blue Nile state over the last month fleeing escalating violence in Ethiopia's Benishangul-Gumuz region.
Tensions have been high in Ethiopia's western Benishangul-Gumuz region's Metekel Zone since 2019 with several reports of inter-communal attacks in parts of the region. (UNHCR-Ethiopians-Sudan)

WARSAW -- Two people were killed and two others injured after a private helicopter crashed near the southern Polish town of Pszczyna early Tuesday morning, local media reported.
The two deceased were identified as 80-year-old businessman Karol Kania and his pilot. (Poland-Plane crash)
